Are You Being Heard by Your Doctor?

Do you sometimes feel you are not being listened to and that the professionals you go to for your health care needs view you as little more than a number?
Ob/Gyn Chris Kuhne has a lengthy list of loyal patients who say he not only listens, he helps find solutions that other doctors have given up on. For instance, Mary Jane Lawrence was told she’d never get pregnant. After suffering several miscarriages she adopted twins. Ten years later when her sister suggested she visit Dr. Kuhne she booked an appointment. “The first thing I noticed was that he was very thorough and that he listened,” she says. “He was determined to find the solution and he did. After months of taking shots that kept me from miscarrying he delivered my first child. I am convinced Dr. Kuhne is heaven sent!”
Mary Ann Smith, a 66 year old dental assistant says she has been on diets all of her life. When her husband retired he started cooking and Mary Ann’s weight skyrocketed. “My clothes were all too tight and I was determined not to buy a new wardrobe,” she says. “The first thing I noticed about Dr. Kuhne’s office was that he did not have a gigantic staff. He was reassuring and he listened! I’ve lost 20 pounds in 2 months and I get so much to eat I’m never hungry. Now I never have to even think about it. I will always be his lifelong admirer.”
Dr. Kuhne is one of very few physicians who has not and does not file insurance claims electronically. Instead, all insurance claims are filed by mail, which exempts him from having to send his patient's charts over the internet to a federal database. “Trust in confidentiality is what is most needed in the practice of Ob/Gyn, as exceptionally private matters are discussed,” he adds. “Call me old fashioned, but I view the relationship with my patients to still be sacred and confidential, allowing an openness that fosters trust.”
After 4 years of continuous training at Parkland Hospital, Dr. Chris Kuhne has remained a 26-year native Texas M.D. and is annually board re-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He provides one-stop health care for women for almost any problem or concern, as well as specialized care in High-Risk Obstetrics, Weight Loss, Infertility, ADD, and the uniquely challenging hormonal and mood issues women face.
